The Team Lead, Execution, contributes to the success of Global Transaction Banking by ensuring that specific goals, plans, and initiatives align with the team’s business strategies and objectives. The role involves ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.

The Team Lead oversees a team of Senior Client Associates (SCA), responsible for maintaining portfolio compliance with various metrics and monitoring negative trends. The team possesses strong expertise in Global Transaction Banking products and services, working closely with Senior Managers, GTB, to provide appropriate support and service to clients.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
  • Foster a client-centric culture within your team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Manage and guide Senior Client Associates based on regional coverage, including coaching to increase business development activities, ensuring follow-up on post-sales activities, and reviewing pricing strategies for market and industry alignment.
  • Identify prospects and growth opportunities for Commercial Banking clients through payment and cash management services and deposit options.
  • Ensure all activities comply with regulations, providing training on best practices and updates to team members and clients.
  • Oversee the preparation of client proposals, working closely with the sales team to understand client needs and develop tailored solutions.
  • Understand and incorporate the bank’s risk appetite and culture into daily activities and decisions.
  • Create a high-performance environment, attracting, developing, and motivating your team by fostering an inclusive work environment, communicating the vision and values, and planning for succession and development.
Do you have the skills to succeed in this role?
  • Post-secondary education (business degree preferred).
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial services or related industries.
  • Minimum of 3 years managerial experience.
  • Strong sales, credit management, coaching, relationship-building, and leadership skills.
  • Understanding of Commercial Banking objectives, strategies, and structures, with tactical planning skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for customer relationship management and team facilitation.
  • Effective communication skills for all levels within the bank and externally.
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements for commercial banking.
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and relationship management skills.
  • Organizational and decision-making abilities.
  • Thorough knowledge of the bank’s lending and deposit products and services.

Location: This role is available in Toronto, Montreal, or Halifax.
