About the Role

The Electrical Team Lead will oversee the design, development and implementation of electrical systems for our projects within the natural gas and LNG space. This role involves managing a team of engineers, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and delivering high-quality solutions that meet client requirements. The Electrical Team Lead will play a critical role in driving innovation, maintaining safety standards, and optimizing project efficiency.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Leadership and Team Management : Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers and technicians,Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of projects,Conduct performance evaluations and support professional development.
  • Project Management : Oversee electrical engineering projects from concept to completion,Develop appropriate timelines, budgets and resources for projects,Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Technical Expertise : Design and review electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and instrumentation,Ensure compliance with Canadian and U.S. industry standards,Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges during project execution and client operational issues.
  • Safety and Compliance : Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures,Ensure all electrical systems meet regulatory and environmental standards,Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain compliance.

Skills :

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Applied Sciences program from a recognized University,
  • P.Eng. registration with EGBC and / or APEGA,
  • 15+ years of relevant experience working in an EPCM environment,
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of engineering codes and standards is required,
  • Ability to use judgment to solve problems based on guidelines and procedures,
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment,
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team,
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office,
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously,
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety,
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Office-based in a collaborative and fast-paced environment,
  • May require travel to project sites or client locations.

The salary for this role is based on an average of 37.5 hours a week. The estimated range is between $170,000 – $225,000 annually, depending on skills and experience.
