Job summary

Air Transat invites applications for a CREW ASSIGNMENT OFFICE COORDINATOR role in Quebec. You’ll collaborate with the Manager of Crew Assignment to ensure daily flight operations run smoothly, coach CAO coordinators, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of crew management experience.
  • 3+ years in Transport Canada regulated environment.
  • 1+ year in team coordination/supervision/management.
  • Strong knowledge of CARs and crew collective agreements (PNT/PNC).
  • Excellent MS Office and collaborative tools skills; knowledge of AIMS and Sabre is an asset.
  • Bilingual in French and English (oral and written).

Job Description

In collaboration with the Manager of Crew Assignment, the incumbent coordinates the activities of the Crew Assignment Office (CAO) and supports the coordination team to ensure the smooth running of daily flight operations. They contribute to the team's skills development, ensure compliance with collective agreements and regulatory requirements, and act as a resource person with multiple internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach and support CAO coordinators in their daily activities.
  • Ensure the smooth running of crew assignment operations and intervene as needed to resolve operational issues.
  • Ensure compliance with crew collective agreements and Transport Canada regulations.
  • Coordinate training, onboarding and knowledge development of coordinators.
  • Monitor qualifications, training and in-flight training of flight deck crew (PNT).
  • Ensure the updating of operational procedures and reference tools, including SharePoint.
  • Control the quality of travel and accommodation bookings for crew members and ensure required follow-ups.
  • Collaborate with various departments, union partners and suppliers to coordinate special operations and sub-contracts.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in crew management.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an environment regulated by Transport Canada.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in team coordination, supervision or management.
  • Excellent knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and collective agreements for flight deck crew (PNT) and cabin crew (PNC).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, mobilizing leadership, talent development and priority management skills.
  • Excellent command of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and demonstrated ease with collaborative digital tools and AI. Knowledge of AIMS and Sabre systems is an asset.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
  • Oral and written proficiency in French and English*.
Additional Information

*A good command of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will need to communicate frequently in English, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, customers and other stakeholders, both in Quebec and internationally.
