Job description

The Team Lead Cash Receivables and Payments is responsible for leading the cash receipts and payments department, ensuring activities are completed accurately and on time, and driving process improvements. This role is a key member of the Cash Management team, requiring an understanding of cash receipts and payment processes and systems, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to collaborate, influence, and communicate effectively across business functions.

What you'll do :

  1. Lead and motivate the Cash Receivables and Payments team through coaching, mentorship, and guidance.
  2. Oversee and optimize daily, weekly, and monthly cash operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  3. Collaborate with stakeholders to modernize delegation of authority policies and streamline processes.
  4. Ensure compliance with Cenovus internal controls over financial reporting.
  5. Participate in enterprise-wide initiatives impacting Treasury and cash management.
  6. Review and approve monthly account reconciliations with attention to detail and risk management.

Who you are :

Our ideal candidate will meet the following minimum requirements :

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • A bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
  • Designation such as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is an asset.
  • Minimum 8 years of related work experience.
