Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) seeks a Team Lead, ARS Registration and Risk to guide design and delivery of ARS-based risk monitoring. You’ll drive ARCMP, registration, and regulatory oversight with a focus on continuous improvement and data-driven decision making.

We are looking for a Team Lead, ARS Registration and Risk to join our External Compliance Monitoring – Alberta Reliability Standards (ECM-ARS) team. Reporting to the Manager, External Compliance Monitoring – Alberta Reliability Standards, this role serves as a subject matter expert in Alberta Reliability Standards (ARS) registration, risk assessment, compliance oversight planning, and risk-based compliance monitoring.
In this role, you will apply expert level technical knowledge of risk frameworks, electricity industry regulatory structures, compliance and enforcement regimes, audit methodologies, and ARS and/or NERC (North American Electric Reliability Corporation) reliability standards.
You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support the execution and continuous improvement of the ARS Sync Up Program (Implementation and Sustainment), the Alberta Risk-Based Compliance Monitoring Program (ARCMP), and associated compliance monitoring processes.
