Job summary

Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) seeks a Team Lead, ARS Registration and Risk to guide design and delivery of ARS-based risk monitoring. You’ll drive ARCMP, registration, and regulatory oversight with a focus on continuous improvement and data-driven decision making.

The role requires deep ARS/NERC knowledge, 10+ years in electricity risk or compliance, and strong leadership to mentor the ECM-ARS team. Hybrid work arrangement applies with in-office days Tue-Thu.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; professional certifications in risk, audit, cybersecurity are assets.
• Extensive knowledge of Alberta/North American electricity markets, ARS/NERC standards.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and relationship management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead ARCMP implementation, execution, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee ARS registration, onboarding, COP, and ADQ processes.
• Develop analytics, reporting, dashboards, and training for registration, risk, and compliance.
