Position Summary

Team Attendant, Baruch Weisz Outpatient Care Clinic, Medical Surgical Clinic: Your goal in this position is to contribute to patient flow by carrying out portering/cleaning duties, maintaining supplies and equipment, and supporting housekeeping activities to ensure the smooth functioning of the department. This role supports the hospital’s academic mandate by advancing care through teaching, learning, research, and innovation. You will also contribute to health and safety policies to provide a healthy environment for patients, staff, physicians, volunteers, and families.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to all hospital areas
• Transport blood and specimens to the lab
• Assist patients and nursing staff with various services
• Deliver supplies
• Clean equipment as required
• Receive all calls through the HRC
• Move equipment to storage for repair
• Respond to requests and codes
• Assist in team efforts to complete tasks independently

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• Personal Support Worker (PSW) certification from an accredited college
• Registered and in good standing with HSCPOA
• Experience in an acute care setting
• Related experience/training or equivalent
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
• Portering experience is an asset
