As a Team Assistant, Telehomecare (Status: Permanent Full-Time, Effective: Immediately; Location: any office within the North East area), you will provide support for all non-clinical duties related to the Telehomecare Program, Rapid Response Nursing Program and other Clinical Programs.

What will you do?

  • Provide administrative support services to the Nurses for the Telehomecare Program, Rapid Response Nursing Program and other Clinical Programs
  • Receive and manage calls for the Programs
  • Process incoming faxes and referrals
  • Coordinate Nurses schedules
  • Prepare and maintain patient charts
  • Provide first line technical support to patients
  • Provide back-up to other clinical programs, as required

What must you have?

  • Post-secondary education in an office administration program and/or equivalent post-secondary training and experience;
  • Relevant experience providing clerical support services in a medical office environment;
  • Demonstrated experience providing technical support services and troubleshooting issues with tablets and other hardware;
  • Excellent telephone and customer service skills are required when interacting with Ontario Health atHome staff, patients, and service providers;
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, problem solve and manage multiple priorities of patients and nurses in the program;
  • Good understanding of general office administrative processes and procedures;
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy when inputting data and generating reports for management;
  • Advanced keyboarding skills and proven proficiency with a variety of database programs;
  • Ability to use scheduling software (e.g. Outlook calendar) and operate copy machines, fax machines, and other office equipment;
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information in a discreet and professional manner when discussing issues with other Ontario Health atHome staff or patients;
  • Demonstrated high level of accuracy in performance of all duties;
  • Advanced oral and written proficiency in English and French is essential.
  • We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy. As a condition of employment, all employees are required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination status prior to start date.
