As a Team Assistant, Telehomecare (Status: Permanent Full-Time, Effective: Immediately; Location: any office within the North East area), you will provide support for all non-clinical duties related to the Telehomecare Program, Rapid Response Nursing Program, and other Clinical Programs.

By applying your healthcare administrative support experience, you will have the opportunity to play a lead role in providing connected, accessible, patient-centered care – supported by our collaborative team that includes over 9,000 regulated healthcare and other professionals.

What will you do?

  1. Provide administrative support services to the Nurses for the Telehomecare Program, Rapid Response Nursing Program, and other Clinical Programs.
  2. Receive and manage calls for the Programs.
  3. Process incoming faxes and referrals.
  4. Prepare and maintain patient charts.
  5. Provide first-line technical support to patients.
  6. Provide backup to other clinical programs, as required.

What must you have?

  • Post-secondary education in an office administration program and/or equivalent training and experience.
  • Relevant experience providing clerical support services in a medical office environment.
  • Experience providing technical support and troubleshooting issues with tablets and other hardware.
  • Excellent telephone and customer service skills when interacting with Ontario Health at Home staff, patients, and service providers.
  • Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Good understanding of general office administrative processes and procedures.
  • High accuracy in data entry and report generation.
  • Proficiency with database programs and advanced keyboarding skills.
  • Ability to use scheduling software (e.g., Outlook calendar) and operate office equipment.
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information discreetly and professionally.
  • High level of accuracy in all duties.
  • Proficiency in English and French, both oral and written, is essential.
  • Mandatory COVID-19 vaccination proof prior to start date.

What would give you an edge?

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures.
  • Familiarity with Ontario Health at Home services.
  • Ability to speak French or another second language.
