As a Team Assistant, Telehomecare (Status: Permanent Full-Time, Effective: Immediately; Location: any office within the North East area), you will support non-clinical duties related to the Telehomecare Program, Rapid Response Nursing Program, and other Clinical Programs.

By applying your healthcare administrative support experience, you will play a key role in providing connected, accessible, patient-centered care, supported by our collaborative team of over 9,000 healthcare and other professionals.

What will you do?
  • Provide administrative support to Nurses for the Telehomecare Program, Rapid Response Nursing Program, and other Clinical Programs.
  • Manage calls for the Programs.
  • Process incoming faxes and referrals.
  • Coordinate Nurses' schedules.
  • Prepare and maintain patient charts.
  • Provide first-line technical support to patients.
  • Back-up support for other clinical programs as needed.
What must you have?
  • Post-secondary education in office administration or equivalent training and experience.
  • Experience providing clerical support in a medical office environment.
  • Technical support experience with tablets and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Excellent telephone and customer service skills when interacting with staff, patients, and providers.
  • Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Understanding of office administrative processes.
  • High accuracy in data entry and report generation.
  • Proficiency with database programs and advanced keyboarding skills.
  • Experience with scheduling software (e.g., Outlook), and operating office equipment.
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information professionally.
  • High proficiency in English and French, both oral and written.
  • Mandatory COVID-19 vaccination proof prior to start date.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and administrative procedures.
  • Familiarity with Ontario Health atHome services.
  • Ability to speak French or another second language.
