Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a Year 2 class in a popular West London primary school. The role is temporary with potential extension or permanent transfer based on performance, starting 07/09/2026 and lasting until the end of the academic year.

The school operates a two-form entry system, with a supportive SLT and opportunities for CPD and in-house training. Working hours are 8:15am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year Teaching Assistant experience in the UK.
• Up-to-date safeguarding training issued in the last year.
• Right to Work in the UK required.
• DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willing to apply.
• Provide two professional references covering the last two years.

Teaching Assistant - Year 2 class

Prospero Teaching is looking for a Teaching Assistant for an Ofsted "Good" Primary school in West London.

The school is a popular two-form entry mainstream Primary School with a supportive senior leadership team. The school is going from strength to strength and providing training to all staff.

Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

• Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate £100 - £120 per day
• Hours - 8:15 am - 3:30pm : Mon - Fri (term time only)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 1 year Teaching Assistant experience in the UK
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
