DIVERSEcity Community Resources Society is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant for their Safe Haven program. The TA will support teachers and clients to enhance language skills through direct interaction. This role requires strong interpersonal abilities, ESL experience, and a commitment to a multicultural environment.

Status : Temporary, Full-time (Union position)
Weekly Hours: 35 hours /week Grid : 7
Rate: $24.43 - $28.04/hr (starting at $24.43)

The Opportunity:
The Teaching Assistant (TA) will work closely with the Safe Haven Program to support teaching staff and clients. The primary responsibilities will include working under the direction of the classroom teacher or Lead Instructor I to improve the language abilities of clients. The TA may assist the teacher in the classroom or work outside the classroom with a small group of clients or a single client on tasks and activities to improve client'slanguage skills. The TA will assist the Lead Instructor I by photocopying, laminating or otherwise assisting in the production of classroom materials.
