Course

RECL 3Q07 Quantitative Analysis

Compensation

Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator, and Lab Demonstrator positions are paid according to the qualifications that the employee holds.

  • Employees without a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the undergraduate rate - $22.07 per hour. (Effective September 1, 2024)
  • Employees with a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the graduate rate - $34.73 per hour. (Effective September 1, 2024)
  • Additional duties as part of a Teaching Assistant’s responsibilities will be compensated at the appropriate rate.
Duties

The duties of the Teaching Assistant will follow Article 22 of the CUPE Local 4207, Unit 1, Collective Agreement, including scheduled contact time with students, preparation of seminar materials, student consultations, grading, exam proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 80% in the course.
  • Third- or fourth-year students enrolled in Recreation and Leisure Studies, or graduates of the same or equivalent programs.
  • Effective communication skills, punctuality, and ability to meet deadlines.
