A prominent educational institution is seeking a Teaching Assistant for the PUBH 898 course. This role involves assisting with course delivery and student engagement in topics of social justice and health equity. Candidates must have a strong academic background in relevant fields and prior TA experience. The position offers 10 hours per week for the 2025 Fall Session, located on campus in Saskatoon.
Required Number of Hours: 10 hours per week Duties: Qualifications: (Skills and Abilities) -Strong background knowledge of social justice and health equity and the theories that underpin the draft 2024 Core Competencies for Public Health in Canada (Version 5-March 7, 2024) Category 9: Health Equity and Social Justice (i.e. intersectionality, anticolonialism, antiracism, Two-Spirit and Indigiqueer theorizing, queer theory, and Indigenous and decolonizing theories). -Research experience on social justice and health equity related projects, and/or community-based experience in social justice and health equity related fields. -Prior experience as a TA Applicants without a strong background in social justice and health equity public health practice or research will not be considered.
