Course Information

Course Title: PSYC 4P55, Neural Mechanisms, Hormones & Behaviour

Compensation
  • Undergraduate rate: $22.07/hour (effective September 1, 2024)
  • Graduate rate: $34.73/hour (effective September 1, 2024)

Additional duties will be compensated at the appropriate TA rate.

Responsibilities
  1. Attend lectures and TA meetings as scheduled
  2. Prepare seminar materials
  3. Proctor and grade assignments, tests, and exams, providing feedback
  4. Hold office hours and respond to student emails
  5. Maintain accurate records
  6. Assist students with course material difficulties
  7. Perform other duties as assigned by the instructor
Qualifications
  1. Enrolled or completed PSYC courses within the last five years, or a minimum of 3rd Year standing with an 80% average in a PSYC BA/BSc program
  2. Strong understanding of course content
  3. Excellent writing, editing, and APA style skills
  4. Effective oral communication skills
  5. Supportive interpersonal skills and ability to lead group discussions
  6. Organizational skills and record-keeping ability
  7. Time management skills
  8. Ability to provide constructive feedback
  9. Willingness to conduct seminars remotely
  10. Ability to communicate via email and video conferencing
