Course Details

Course: PSYC 4P08, Data Science for Academic and Applied Research (two sections)

Compensation

Pay rates depend on qualifications:

  • Undergraduate rate ($22.07/hr): Less than a 4-year honours or 3-year pass degree
  • Graduate rate ($34.73/hr): Holds a 4-year honours or 3-year pass degree

Additional duties are compensated at the appropriate TA rate.

Responsibilities
  • Attend lectures, TA meetings, and seminars as scheduled
  • Prepare seminar materials, proctor, grade assignments and exams, and provide feedback
  • Hold office hours and respond to student emails
  • Maintain accurate records and assist students with course material
  • Other duties as assigned by the instructor
Qualifications
  • Must have completed or be enrolled in relevant Psychology courses within the last five years, or be a third-year student with a minimum 80% average
  • Previous TA experience in this course is an asset
  • Strong understanding of course content, excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and conduct seminars remotely
