This job posting is to fill an existing vacancy in the CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group).

Course Title: POLI 3P94: European Politics

Compensation:

  • Employees without a 4-year honours or 3-year pass degree are paid the undergraduate rate - $22.07/hr (effective September 1, 2024).
  • Employees with a 4-year honours or 3-year pass degree are paid the graduate rate - $34.73/hr (effective September 1, 2024).
  • Additional duties are compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate.

Duties:

Responsibilities include facilitating small group discussions, grading assignments and exams, providing feedback, and maintaining accurate records of student performance. Duties align with Article 22 of the CUPE Local 4207, Unit 1, Collective Agreement, including scheduled contact time and non-classroom activities such as preparation, grading, student consultations, and course administration.

Qualifications:

Must be enrolled in or have completed a postgraduate degree in Political Science with emphasis on Comparative Politics, and have completed POLI 3P94 or equivalent. Candidates should have strong essay writing skills, good organizational skills, and prior experience as a teaching assistant or in a leadership role.
