HIST 2P63: Conflicts and Revolutions in Africa

Compensation

• Undergraduate rate: $22.07/hour (effective September 1, 2024) for those without a 4-year honours or 3-year pass degree.
• Graduate rate: $34.73/hour (effective September 1, 2024) for those with a 4-year honours or 3-year pass degree.
• Additional duties are compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate.

Responsibilities

The duties align with Article 22 of the CUPE Local 4207, Unit 1, Collective Agreement, including scheduled contact with students, preparation, grading, proctoring, attending lectures, office hours, and other administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum BA in African History or related discipline with at least 75% average.
• Background knowledge or course experience in African History.
• Proven university-level teaching assistant experience or equivalent.
• Strong organizational, communication, and writing skills; punctuality and ability to meet deadlines.
