GERO 5P89 Research Literacy in Applied Gerontological Practice
Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator and Lab Demonstrator positions are paid according to the qualifications that the employee holds.
The duties and responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant shall be in accordance with Article 22 of the CUPE Local 4207, Unit 1, Collective Agreement. These include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom activities such as seminar preparation, student consultation, grading, exam proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration as required.

As per Article 22.04, graduate students enrolled at Brock University shall not accept more than ten (10) hours per week without prior permission. Undergraduate students shall not accept more than nine (9) TA appointments per term minus courses enrolled. Part-time graduate students and non-students must not exceed maximum hours under the Employment Standards Act. Permissions to exceed workload limits must be obtained prior to application.
