Job summary

University of Guelph in Guelph, Ontario seeks a Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) for a Long Term Care client. You will work under the Physiotherapist to implement treatment programs and support residents in activities and exercises.

Responsibilities include leading group and one-on-one exercises, documenting progress, assisting with transfers, and reporting health changes to supervisors. Must be a PTA graduate with a Vulnerable Sector check and TB/Chest X-ray as required.

Qualifications

• Must be a Physiotherapy Assistant graduate or equivalent.
• Excellent multi-tasking skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Ability to communicate well with the elderly, supervisors, and teammates.
• Experience working in a Long Term Care or Retirement home would be an asset.
• Current police check for the Vulnerable Sector is required.
• Valid 2 STEP TB Test and/or Chest X-Ray is required.
• Access to reliable vehicle is an asset.
• We will NOT consider RELOCATION - Must be a resident of Guelph and/or Surrounding Area.
