Compensation

Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator, and Lab Demonstrator positions are paid according to the qualifications that the employee holds. Employees without a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the undergraduate rate - $22.07 per hour. Employees with a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the graduate rate - $34.73 per hour. Additional duties will be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate.

Duties

Responsibilities include familiarizing with lecture topics, explaining and answering questions, scheduled online contact with students, preparing materials, grading, proctoring exams, holding office hours, and other administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Honours degree in Earth Sciences or equivalent
• Completion of ERSC 1F01 or equivalent with a grade of 75% or higher
• Proficiency in planetary sciences (surfaces and interiors)
• Competence in email, Sakai, Internet, Microsoft Office, multimedia tools
