Brock University is seeking a Teaching Assistant for the course 'CRIM 4P01 - Service Learning in Community Justice'. CRIM 4P01 - Service Learning in Community Justice
Compensation
Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator and Lab Demonstrator positions are paid according to the qualifications that the employee holds.
· Employees who do NOT hold a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the undergraduate rate - $22.07 per hour. Employees who hold a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the graduate rate - $34.73 per hour.
· In cases where additional duties are required as part of a Teaching Assistant’s duties, these hours shall be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate.
Duties
The duties and responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant shall be in accordance with Article 22 of the CUPE Local 4207, Unit 1, Collective Agreement. These are made up of scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time (including preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking or grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration as may be required.

*It is the applicant's responsibility to demonstrate how his/her degree and training are equivalent. Likewise, it is the applicant’s responsibility to identify the course for consideration of equivalency. For courses taken at Brock, identify the course (i.e., XXXX 3P00). For courses taken elsewhere, provide a transcript (a copy of your course and grade summary from your student selfservice at that institution is sufficient); highlight the course and provide the course description. Failure to provide the required documentation to support the request for consideration of equivalency will result in an incomplete application.
*Equivalency will be determined by the course instructor, in consultation with the selection committee. Applicants must make a case that their qualifications are equivalent to those required above.
