Course: COSC 3P93 Parallel Computing
Compensation

Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator, and Lab Demonstrator positions are paid according to the qualifications that the employee holds.

  • Employees without a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the undergraduate rate - $22.07 per hour. (Effective September 1, 2024)
  • Employees with a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the graduate rate - $34.73 per hour. (Effective September 1, 2024)
  • Additional duties as part of a Teaching Assistant’s duties will be compensated at the appropriate rate.
Duties

The duties of the Teaching Assistant shall be in accordance with Article 22 of the CUPE Local 4207, Unit 1, Collective Agreement. Responsibilities include scheduled contact time with students, preparation of seminar material, student consultation, grading, exam proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration as required.

Qualifications
  • Applicants must have completed COSC 3P93 with a minimum of 80%.
  • Applicants must be at least third- or fourth-year students enrolled in Computer Science or have completed a related program.
  • The successful applicant must have effective communication skills, punctuality, and ability to meet deadlines.
