A lovely teaching assistant role based in an outstanding Early Years setting.

Your new school

Lift Barton Hill is part of Lift Schools, one of the largest MATs in the country, allowing you access to the best training and CPD courses. We have been graded as 'Good' by Ofsted with an 'Outstanding' Early Years and aim for every child to have a happy and active primary education in an environment that is caring and supporting. We provide a stimulating and structured environment in which every child will be encouraged to reach their full potential.

Your new role

Due to a maternity leave we are looking for a TA to join our nursery. Our nursery is ran by an experienced nursery teacher and a HLTA. We have two nursery classrooms, one for our two and younger three year olds and the second for our older three and four year olds. The children thrive by having a mix of adult-led activities and independent learning opportunities, designed to help them grow and explore at their own pace. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, which sets the standards for learning, development and care for children from birth to five years. We focus on developing key skills through play, exploration and active learning. If you are passionate about the education of young children and want to work in an exceptional Early Years environment we would love to hear from you.

What you’ll need to succeed

It will be hugely desirable if you have early years experience but not essential. You will have a L3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent and be Paediatric First Aid trained, or willingness to work towards these qualifications with an understanding of a range of pupil’s learning needs. You will have patience in interactions with a variety of students and situations, with a calm demeanour and have empathy to understand the needs and challenges of students and be able to relate to them on a personal level. You will also be somebody who can engage and enthuse students to want to learn.

We will review applications and interview ASAP so please apply or make contact ASAP.
