Salary Range:

The current daily rate for this casual TTOC position ranges from $313.39 to $490.21, with placement on the grid based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.

Terms and Conditions:

Terms and conditions pursuant to the Collective Agreement between the Cranbrook and Fernie Teachers' Association and School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay).

Preferences:

Preference will be given to applicants with BC Teacher Certification.

Must have a degree/formal training and/or teaching experience in subjects and at a level specific to each posting.

Job Summary:

Teachers Teaching On Call - Grades K-12 for the 2025-2026 school year.

School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay) is seeking BC-certified teachers to work as Teachers Teaching On Call in the Elk Valley communities of Elkford, Sparwood, Fernie, and Jaffray, starting September 2, 2025.

Special consideration will be given to teachers with formal training/experience at the Elementary level in French Immersion and Learning Services, as well as those with experience in Secondary Math, Science, Industrial Education, French Immersion, and Learning Services.
