Position Description

Job Summary
Trinity Reformed Church is launching Coram Deo School in Huntsville, Alabama, and we are seeking K-4 through 6th grade teachers to help us train the next generation of Christian disciples.

Teachers in our founding year will play a vital role in shaping the school’s tone, culture, and classroom rhythm. We are looking for those who love children, love Christ, and are excited to recover the riches of classical education.

This is a unique opportunity for someone with a heart for discipleship and a love for the classical tradition—even if you’ve never formally taught in a classical school before.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enthusiastically lead a classroom of students (K-4, Kindergarten, and Grades 1-6)
  • Teach phonics, math, penmanship, Bible, songs, stories, and memory work
  • Participate in schoolwide prayer, Scripture reading, and singing
  • Implement a curriculum that reflects a classical Christian vision of formation
  • Cultivate habits of order, attention, and virtue in the classroom
  • Communicate periodically with parents in love and truth
  • Assist with school startup needs, classroom setup, and routines

Qualifications

  • Must be a professing Christian who is an active member of a local church (preferably Reformed)
  • Must affirm the school’s Statement of Faith
  • A love for children, strong classroom presence, and ability to nurture both discipline and delight
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Prior teaching experience is a plus—but we will consider applicants with strong character and a teachable spirit
