Anticipated End Date: June 26, 2026 (or return of incumbent)

Assignment: MATH 3-8, 10-C, 20-1, SCIENCE 5/6, 10

Responsibilities

  • Establish clear objectives based on Alberta Education curriculum, communicate these to students, and prepare instructional materials.
  • Use varied instructional approaches suited to grade level and student needs, plan activities, assign lessons, and correct homework.
  • Evaluate student performance, behavior, and social development; maintain accurate records.
  • Enforce rules for behavior and safety, and follow administrative policies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, meet with parents, and participate in professional development.
  • Prepare students for future grades, adapt teaching methods, and support students with special needs.
  • Organize class projects, field trips, and extracurricular activities; supervise students during various activities.
  • Coordinate with support staff and assist in their supervision and evaluation.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed, such as organizing materials and displaying student work.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Alberta Teaching Certificate
  • Experience with Alberta curriculum (Div 1 & 2)
  • Successful Criminal Reference Check (within 3 months)
