Job summary

Educemplois seeks a Teacher – Bilingual Math and Sciences in Kuujjuaq for September to December 2026 with a potential renewal. The role is contractual, 400 hours, in the Nunavik school board, offering salary from 54,119 to 105,432 CAD depending on experience and qualifications.

Required are a Teacher’s Certificate / B. Education (Math or Science major preferred) and experience in adult education, literacy, multi-level classes, and bilingual instruction.

Qualifications

• Teacher’s Certificate or B. Education, preferably with Math or Science specialization.
• Board may waive requirements for certain candidates who agree to a training plan under the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement.
• Experience in adult education.
• Experience in literacy teaching.
• Experience in multi-level classes.
• Experience teaching Mathematics, sciences and Microsoft Suite.
• Experience teaching in a second language environment would be an asset.
• Knowledge of MEES programs is an asset.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Teacher’s Certificate / B. Education, preferably with a major in one of the following subjects: Mathematics, Sciences.

The Board may, at its discretion, waive any or all the afore-mentioned qualification requirements if it finds a suitable candidate who is a beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement and who accepts, as a condition of employment, to follow a training plan determined by the Board

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience in adult education.
• Experience in literacy teaching.
• Experience in multi-level classes.
• Experience in teaching the following subjects: Mathematics, sciences and the Microsoft Suite
• Experience teaching in a second language environment would be an asset

ASSETS:

CLASSIFICATION / SALARY / BENEFITS:

Salary & benefits as per the Teachers Collective Agreement of the Board: from $54,119 to $105,432 annually depending on experience and qualifications. All benefits are prorated based on the percentage of the task.
