Position Description

A 1.0 FTE - Counsellor / Resource Support - Limited Duration Contract Teacher is required by School District No. 57 (Prince George) effective April 1, 2025 but not to extend beyond June 30, 2025. The assignment will be at Shas Ti Secondary Kelly Road Secondary School. Applicants must be certified teachers and have completed or are in the process of completing a Master's degree in Counselling. Applicants with assessment and trauma-informed practice experience are preferred. Qualifications and Experience

• Valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate (or proof of application)
• A Master's degree in counselling or in the process of completing a Master's degree in counselling.

Compensation

• Up to $1,000 relocation allowance for teachers’ relocation from within BC; Up to $1,500 for teachers relocating from AB, SK & MB; and up to $2,000 for teachers relocating from all other provinces and out of country.
• Salary as per collective agreement. Current salary grid is $49,769 - $95,681. Salary is based on TQS and prior experience.
• Benefits as per collective agreement with option to enroll in Dental, Extended Health, and Group Life Insurance. Benefits are employer paid based on FTE.

School District No.57 resides on the unceded ancestral lands of the Lheidli T’enneh First Nations, McLeod Lake Indian Band and the Simpcw First Nations. Geographically we expand from Mackenzie, through Prince George, to McBride and Valemount.
