Job description

The Business Banking Services Solutions Replacement program is one of Desjardins’s largest modernization initiatives. The program aims to modernize the current banking platform for the business sector to better serve members and clients. We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to lead our OCI projects. Key responsibilities include:

1. Designing and deploying scalable OCI solutions
2. Implementing security, performance, and sustainability best practices
3. Providing training and technical guidance to team members
4. Updating code and conducting pair programming sessions
5. Guiding squad members in resolving technical issues and ensuring compliance with Desjardins standards
6. Monitoring software quality and escalating development issues
7. Mentoring new and less experienced team members
8. Participating in the Tech Lead alignment board
9. Leading software component design efforts
10. Sharing best practices in development technologies and practices

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in a related field
2. At least six years of relevant development experience (other qualifications may be considered)
3. Significant experience as a developer or software engineer
4. Management experience in a technical team
5. Experience in project planning and delivery
6. OCI Certification
7. Proficiency in Java, Python, or C++
8. Deep knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services
9. Familiarity with Agile practices and tools (Scrum, Jira, Confluence)
10. Expertise in designing secure, high-performance cloud architectures
11. Knowledge of French is required
