Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services (www.protecnium.com / en). We are currently seeking a TBM Electrical Superintendent (PLC) to join our team on a Tunnel Construction Project in Toronto.

Project Details

• Project: Tunnel
• Estimated Duration: 24 months (with potential placement in other projects afterward)

Responsibilities

• Supervise and implement PLC systems above and below ground
• Organize plans and schedules of work
• Ensure availability of materials, tools, and equipment
• Provide instructions and enforce safety regulations
• Inspect work to ensure compliance with codes and standards
• Adhere to environmental management plans
• Ensure electrical systems comply with Canadian safety regulations
• Select and train qualified personnel for electrical work
• Collaborate on work planning and safety plans with tunneling team
• Authorize personnel for PLC control work
• Coordinate with electrical personnel on work procedures
• Oversee daily reports and safety inspections
• Manage electrical documentation
• Promote health and safety standards

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 40 hours weekly, with possible night shifts

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a TBM Electrical PLC supervisor/superintendent, preferably in underground/tunnel projects
• Deep understanding of Canadian electrical codes and safety standards
• Experience developing maintenance programs for complex electrical systems
• Strong troubleshooting skills
