Ideal candidates have experience in municipal operations and knowledge of relevant legislation. This position offers an hourly pay of $37.16 to $45.22 based on a 35-hour work week.

Job description

The Township is currently seeking a Taxation & Billing Supervisor who will be responsible for the billing and collection of taxes, water, and sewer charges, while overseeing accounts receivable and other municipal receipts. This role also performs Accounting Assistant duties related to Taxation and General Ledger. As the Coordinator of the Customer Service & Administrative Support Team the successful candidate will ensure consistent and effective administrative support to general Township operations, providing leadership and coordination for front-line service delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary education in business, accounting or related discipline with 3 to 5 years related business, or municipal experience. Candidates holding certification by the Ontario Municipal Tax and Revenue Association and completion of the AMCTO Municipal Administration Program (MAP) will be preferred.

The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of tax billing and collection legislation and municipal billing and collection software.

The person must possess strong customer service skills, excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills. A proven ability to manage several requests and projects simultaneously is a must. This person will be required to coordinate the work of others in the municipality, while using initiative and good judgment in carrying out the duties of the position.

The present hourly rate of pay for this position is $37.16 to $45.22 based on a 35-hour work week.
