In this role, you will build lasting relationships with clients—advising on both tax and non-tax issues, working on complex tax projects, contributing to the firm’s growth, and leading your team to achieve personal and professional goals.
Business Development:
- Responsible for the strategy and growth of the firm’s Private Client Services, including identifying market trends, anticipating opportunities, and developing go-to-market strategies and plans.
- Build strong relationships and interact regularly with clients, internal client partners, emerging talent, external industry groups, Centers of Influence, industry leaders in adjacent sectors, and Service Line Leaders—coordinating to align skills with market trends and drive strategic technical leadership hires.
Client Experience:
- Serve and build relationships with clients, monitoring service quality and value proposition, acting as a trusted advisor to ensure delivery of quality work, open communication, sound advice, and proactive service.
- Develop a comprehensive approach to meet the needs of closely held businesses and their owners, focusing on scaling the practice and demonstrating intellectual curiosity to meet client needs.
- Serve clients in manufacturing, construction, real estate, retail, and wholesale distribution sectors.
- Adjust client pricing, strategy, and services as necessary.
Leadership, Mentorship & Staff Development:
- Respect and celebrate the diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and ideas of team members, building meaningful relationships with all colleagues.
- Be growth-oriented and work towards building a leveraged model when appropriate.
- Provide mentorship and motivation to the team, including developing future leaders through active training and development.
- Exhibit forward thinking, innovation, and a commitment to delivering exceptional work products.
Technical:
- Perform executive-level tax advisory, compliance review, and tax return signoff.
- Serve as a technical resource for questions and knowledge sharing.
- Act as a technical and/or business leader both internally and externally.
Who You Are
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree; CPA or JD.
- 10+ years of progressive tax experience, preferably in a public accounting firm, including leadership experience with a proven record of accomplishment, accountability, and strategic execution.
- Proven thought leadership, advanced technical skills, and in-depth knowledge within tax for closely held businesses and their owners, including experience with individuals, manufacturing companies, real estate, multigenerational businesses, S-corps, C-corps, and partnerships.

- Hybrid work environment (2-3 days in office per week)
