Amazon is seeking a Tax Manager to join our Tax Controversy Team as a Canadian corporate tax specialist to manage direct tax audits. The Tax Controversy Team is directly responsible for tax authority interactions and other audits in various tax jurisdictions. The Tax Controversy Team is looking for candidates who have extensive experience with navigating tax authority requests with respect to Canadian corporate income tax law and can operating a dynamic environment. The candidate will be expected to roll up their sleeves to deliver accurate results on multiple projects with competing deadlines. This role will require interacting with other members of the Amazon tax team to handle various tax issues including transfer pricing, international tax issues, mergers and acquisitions, and tax compliance.

You'll engage with various stakeholders to coordinate responses to tax authority inquiries, collaborate with subject matter experts, and contribute to process improvements. Your day might include preparing documentation for tax authorities, consulting with internal teams on complex tax matters, and participating in strategic planning sessions.
