Job summary

Ryan LLC in Vancouver seeks an Intern to explore state, local, federal, and international taxation. You will work with subject-matter experts in a team-based environment to identify tax savings opportunities for Fortune 5000 clients and receive training to become a seasoned tax professional.

Interns will gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to high-profile clients while developing analytical, research, and client service skills. Applicants must be pursuing relevant degrees.

Qualifications

• Working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate or Economics.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage ambiguity while delivering high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional client service to multi-state companies and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Assist with state and local tax controversies, including hearings and protests.
• Research and draft technical memoranda on state/local tax questions.
• Respond to client inquiries from tax authorities and analyze documentation.
• Work with raw data to perform detailed calculations.
