Responsibilities:

  • Assist our Tax Experts in completing customer contacts and preparing tax returns by providing timely and accurate tax guidance.
  • Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to find and communicate the correct answers to Tax Experts in understandable terms.
  • Help customers complete their taxes using TurboTax products, review personal tax returns, and manage product/software inquiries.
  • Use our advanced video communication tools to interact with clients and document all interactions for accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of paid professional tax preparation experience and/or recent experience reviewing tax returns prepared by others.
  • Experience with professional tax software for preparing and reviewing personal tax returns, including complex elements such as employment, self-employment, rental income, investments, T1135 forms, foreign income, and various credits and deductions.
  • Passionate about helping clients and colleagues navigate tax complexities and committed to enhancing our brand by delightful customer service.
  • Excellent customer service skills and comfortable interacting via video and audio tools in a professional, friendly, and confident manner.
  • Willing and available to work a flexible schedule of at least 32 hours per week.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CRA audits.
  • Experience preparing Business Tax (T2) Returns.
  • Experience preparing Quebec Tax (TP1) Returns.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Deep understanding of tax laws and concepts, with a proactive approach to ongoing learning and training others.
  • Strong communication skills, leveraging empathy and active listening to understand customer needs and provide quality service.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex customer issues using multiple resources and tools.
  • Curiosity and initiative in continuous learning and resourcefulness in troubleshooting.
  • Technical aptitude to learn and troubleshoot software and tools, contributing to team innovation and customer experience improvements.

Intuit offers a competitive compensation package, including base pay ranging from $31 to $42 per hour depending on location, with additional bonuses, equity rewards, and benefits. Pay is based on skills, experience, and work location, with ongoing efforts to ensure pay equity across categories of ethnicity and gender.
