Valsoft Corp. is seeking a Data Analytics Engineer to design and build scalable data pipelines for tax analytics in Montreal, collaborating with Tax, Finance, and Data Platform teams. You will model tax data in Snowflake, implement API integrations, and develop AI-assisted tools for tax reporting.

The role emphasizes production-grade data products, data governance, and close stakeholder collaboration to deliver iterative data solutions and actionable insights.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering.
• Strong Snowflake data modeling, performance tuning, security and cost optimization.
• Proficiency with dbt for transformation, testing, and documentation.
• Experience building production-grade data pipelines (batch/streaming).
• Experience with AWS cloud services for data workloads.
• Experience consuming REST APIs and building system integrations.
• Solid development skills with Python/Node.js and web frameworks.
• Hands-on AI development experience with LLMs or ML models.
• Strong Git, branching, code review, and CI/CD practices.
• Advanced SQL and Python with solid data analytics fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines ingesting tax/financial data from multiple sources.
• Model and transform data in Snowflake using dbt with quality checks.
• Build API integrations to automate data exchange for tax workflows.
• Leverage AWS S3, Lambda, Glue, and Step Functions to orchestrate data workloads.
• Develop internal apps/tools for Tax users and automated reporting solutions.
• Apply AI/ML and LLM techniques to automate document processing and analytics.
• Follow Git and CI/CD practices for code, transformations, and infra changes.
• Implement data quality checks and reconciliation controls.
