About the Role

The Wyndham Group at Raymond James Ltd. is seeking a full-time Tax Advisor for our downtown Toronto office. The Tax & Planning Specialist will work with the team to create financial plans for clients and assist with personal and corporate tax strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with lead advisors in financial planning;
  • Interact directly with clients to gather information, present plans, and provide advice;
  • Prepare financial plans and identify tax strategies;
  • Monitor and update existing financial plans;
  • Prepare and review tax returns and provide tax advice;
  • Organize the financial planning team and processes;
  • Coordinate with the investment strategy to reflect financial plans;
  • Provide high-quality client service via various communication channels;
  • Collaborate with other professionals and specialists;
  • Deliver client presentations and write commentary on tax and financial topics;
  • Maintain high standards of integrity and professionalism;
  • Build and attract new clients in partnership with lead advisors.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Commerce or Accounting;
  • CPA designation with experience in preparing and reviewing T1 personal tax returns;
  • CFP and / or TEP designations are assets; CFP required within the year if not already held.
