About the role:
  • Assist in Canadian and US corporate and partnership tax filings
  • Generate and update tax project tracking reports.
  • Organize and document tax related files and preparation of supporting documents.
  • Prepare and maintain government remittances/filings, such as GST, EHT and payroll
  • Assist in tax research and revise memos and reports
  • Maintain online tax portals and liaise with Canadian and US tax authorities on tax administrative matters.
Skills and requirements:
  • 3-4 years' public accounting experience inclusive of minimum 1-2 years' tax experience, or equivalent financial industry tax experience.
  • Proficient use of Excel, Microsoft Office Word, Power Point
  • Professional and clear communication skills; verbal and written.
  • Problem-solving skills and agility
  • Attention to detail, ability to organize, prioritize, and balance multiple priorities.
  • Working knowledge in accounting software an asset, such as Microsoft Dynamic GP, SAP BYD, QuickBooks.
