Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Talent Sourcing Specialist, you will play a critical role in identifying, attracting, and engaging top-tier talent across our engineering, skilled trades and technical business units and facilitating a best-in-class candidate experience. You’ll work closely with Technical Recruiters to build robust talent pipelines, uncover passive candidates, and ensure the right talent is engaged early in the hiring process.


This role is ideal for someone who is data-driven, creative, and passionate about finding the right talent in competitive markets

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

Proactively source passive candidates through LinkedIn, resume databases, social media, and job boards

Utilize creative sourcing strategies and techniques to engage with undiscovered talent

Conduct initial outreach and engagement, build interest in open roles and employer brand.

Collaborate with recruiters to understand role requirements and tailor sourcing strategies accordingly.

Build and maintain talent pools for high-demand or recurring roles (e.g., engineers, skilled trades).

Utilize Boolean search, market research, and talent mapping to identify niche profiles.

Partner with the TA team to ensure an exceptional candidate experience from first touchpoint.

Champion the employer brand by delivering engaging, on-brand messaging that resonates with passive and active candidates across sourcing platforms

Proactively engage and source candidates to build and nurture diverse talent pipelines.

Provide market insights and sourcing metrics to recruiters and hiring leaders.

Report on key metrics (active outreach and pipeline health) and actively participate in problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives to improve performance

Additional full-cycle recruitment activities as required

OUTCOMES YOU WILL FOCUS ON:

Accelerate Time-to-Fill: Reduce the average time it takes to move qualified candidates from sourcing to offer acceptance.

Improve Quality of Hire: Improve retention rates and performance ratings of sourced candidates after 6–12 months in their role.

Increase Pipeline Diversity: Grow the percentage of diversity in talent pools

Strengthen Talent Pipelines for Hard-to-Fill Roles: Increase readiness of qualified, pre-engaged candidates for strategic or niche roles before requisitions open.

Improve Hiring Manager Satisfaction: Improve feedback scores from hiring managers regarding the quality and fit of sourced candidates.

Brand Advocacy and Candidate Experience: Contribute to improvement in candidate experience from positive sourcing outreach, enhance employer branding and relationship-building.

Qualifications

YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE:

Working experience in a Technical Recruitment role

A genuine curiosity about people and a desire to listen. You seek to understand people’s motivations and interests

An aptitude for building and fostering high-trust relationships

High attention to detail both with people and process.

An ability to embrace change as we continuously work as a team to improve our hiring practices.

A highly organized approach. You can organize and juggle priorities in an often-changing environment

Ideal Qualifications

2+ years of experience in talent sourcing or recruitment, ideally in technical environments.

Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and resume databases.

Proven ability to find and attract passive talent.

Solid understanding of sourcing tools, Boolean search, and creative sourcing methods.

Comfortable with data reporting and pipeline analytics

Experience supporting recruitment in manufacturing, automation, or engineering industries is a strong asset.
