Job summary

Urban Legal Recruitment is seeking a Coordinator for Student & Associate Professional Development in our Calgary office for a one-year contract. You will work closely with students, associates, lawyers and firm leadership to attract, develop and retain talent and deliver a robust student and associate lifecycle program.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5 years of relevant experience, ideally within legal recruitment, student development, professional development, Human Resources or related professional services.
• Knowledge of the Canadian law student recruitment cycle and the legal profession.
• Experience working in a collaborative, multi-office environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple programs, priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support student recruitment cycle, onboarding, and orientation processes for Calgary office.
• Coordinate summer and articling programs, including mentoring and performance feedback.
• Assist with associate recruitment and onboarding, and monitor evaluation cycles.
• Coordinate local implementation of national learning, development, diversity and wellness initiatives.
• Track program metrics and manage budgets related to student, associate and professional development.
