Job summary

CIRO is seeking a Talent Development Advisor in Toronto to design and deliver leadership and employee development programs. The role blends strategic design with hands-on program management, facilitation, stakeholder partnerships, and operational support to ensure impactful learning experiences for employees and leaders.

You will report to the Senior Director of Organizational Development and collaborate with HR Business Partners, business leaders, and external partners.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Adult Education, Organizational Development, Learning & Development, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in talent development, learning & development, leadership development, or related HR discipline.
  • Experience designing, facilitating, and evaluating leadership and employee development programs.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience partnering with HR Business Partners, leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop learning content, facilitator guides, communications, and learner resources.
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience with reporting, tracking, and program evaluation.
  • Experience working with learning management systems and learning technologies.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

About this Opportunity

We areseekinga collaborative and business-focused Talent Development Advisor to support the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of leadership, learning, and employee development programs across the organization. This role combines strategic talent development work with hands‑on program management, facilitation, stakeholder partnership, and operational support to ensure a seamless and impactful learning experience for employees and leaders.

Reporting to theSenior Director of Organizational Development, the Advisor will serve as a trusted subject matter expert, working closely with HR Business Partners, business leaders, project teams, and external partners to develop talent solutions that strengthen leadership capability, employee growth, and organizational effectiveness. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable designing learning experiences,facilitatingprograms, managing reporting, andmaintaininglearning systems and resources.

Core Responsibilities

Leadership Development Programs

Lead and support the delivery of leadership development initiatives across multiple employee groups and leadership levels by:

  • Designing, developing, andfacilitatingnew leadership learning experiences and program content
  • Partnering with HR Business Partners to deliver existing leadership development curriculum and learning journeys
  • Managing program enrolment, participant communications, scheduling,logistics, and stakeholder coordinationin partnership with our Talent Coordinator
  • Monitoring participation, measuring outcomes, andmaintainingprogram reporting and analytics
  • Continuously enhancing leadership development offerings based on participant feedback, business needs, and emerging best practices

Employee Development & Learning

Support the development and execution of employee learning and growth initiatives by:

  • Designing and implementing targeted development journeys, including learning pathways for people leaders and team leads
  • Contributing to the development of the organization's learning and talent development roadmap and annual priorities
  • Coordinating training programs, including vendor management, scheduling, participation monitoring, and recommendationsregardingdelivery methods and budget considerations
  • Developing andmaintaininglearning resources, facilitator guides, participant materials, toolkits, and online learning content
  • Supporting the ongoing enhancement of learning‑related intranet content and employee self‑service resources
  • Supporting the development of skills and capability frameworks, including skills taxonomy initiatives
  • Assistingwith career pathing and career development framework design

Business Partnerships & Program Delivery

Collaborate with business stakeholders and project teams to deliver learning solutions that support organizational priorities by:

  • Partnering with subject matter experts and business leaders to design, coordinate, and deliver learning initiatives, including technology, compliance, and other enterprise programs
  • Consulting on learning content enhancements, learner engagement strategies, and program effectiveness
  • Coordinating enterprise development programs, including mentorship and capability‑building initiatives
  • Building strong relationships across HR and the business toidentifylearning needs and recommendappropriate solutions

Learning Systems & Operational Excellence

Provide operational and technical support to ensure effective learning program administration by:

  • Serving as a subject matter expert for talent development processes, tools, and platforms
  • Partnering with the Talent Development Coordinator to support learning system administration and issue resolution
  • Providing escalation support for learning systems, reporting, and user inquiries
  • Evaluating learning technologies and recommending strategies tooptimizeplatform usage, streamline processes, and improve the learner experience
  • Maintainingaccuraterecords, documentation, program materials, and standard operating procedures
  • Supporting learning metrics, dashboards, reporting, and program evaluation activities
What You Bring
Must-have:
