We:

  • Live with Awareness and CONSCIOUSNESS of our choices

The Company:

We are famous for being the creators of the world's first compostable phone case and our latest leading-edge innovation Lomi, the must-have smart-waste appliance for your home.

We’re fast-moving and on a mission to build something bold—and we’re doing it quickly. Our environment is dynamic and constantly evolving. If you thrive in uncertainty, love solving problems and prefer action over perfection, you’ll fit right in. We value ownership, initiative, and the ability to just get sh*t done. Success here means being comfortable with a 90% solution, moving fast, and iterating even faster. It’s challenging, it’s exciting, and it’s definitely not boring. If you're looking for a place where you can grow fast, wear a lot of hats, and make a real impact— we welcome you to join a group of innovators who are committed to creating a waste-free future.

The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a Retail Recruiter & HR Generalist to lead frontline hiring across North America. This role is 70% talent attraction and 30% HR generalist work, with a strong focus on hiring retail field staff and creating a seamless, engaging onboarding experience that reflects our values and culture. You'll work closely with Manufacturing, Sales, and Retail Operations to ensure we’re attracting, selecting, and supporting the very best.

The Responsibilities:

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for dynamic roles, including Field Sales, In-Store Brand Ambassadors, and Manufacturing machine operators
  • Build talent pipelines in new U.S. regions and markets with minimal brand awareness
  • Craft compelling job postings that reflect our mission and culture
  • Partner with hiring managers to define needs, assess candidates, and move fast on decisions
  • Manage stakeholders and guide hiring managers with clarity and confidence
  • Develop grassroots, scrappy sourcing strategies to find untapped talent using unconventional channels, communities, and messaging
  • Conduct initial interviews and help calibrate the team on what great looks like
  • Own the onboarding experience—ensure every new hire feels welcomed, prepared, and excited
  • Organize contracts, equipment shipments, and Day 1 readiness
  • Demonstrate data fluency - use metrics to guide decisions and impact
  • Track new hire feedback and continuously improve our onboarding journey
  • Partner with Managers to support performance, training, and culture-building initiatives
  • Keep our systems up-to-date and compliant (HRIS, ATS, and G Suite)
  • Partner with EORs and other external providers to ensure a seamless experience

Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years of experience in full-cycle recruitment or cross-functional HR team, ideally with a retail, manufacturing, hospitality or similar high-volume hiring environment
  • Experience working with small, growing companies or startups
  • Knowledge of Canadian and U.S. hiring best practices and employment basics
  • Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) or Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) designation is an asset
  • Experience using Sourcing, ATS, HRIS, and Payroll tools
  • Clear, professional, and engaging communication—both written and verbal
  • A bias for action and the ability to juggle multiple requisitions at once
  • Deep understanding of retail, trade show/events, or field sales environments is key

Lomi & Pela are committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace. We value unique perspectives and welcome applicants of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences.
