Job description
About Digitail

Digitail is on a mission to transform the veterinary profession with smart, customer-driven technology. We’re building the all-in-one operating system for animal hospitals – simplifying everything from client communication and patient care to scheduling and billing.

About the Role

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you’ll own and drive the full-cycle recruiting process - from sourcing and outreach, to interviews and closing. You’ll partner closely with hiring managers and leadership to deeply understand team needs, craft compelling job descriptions, and ensure a smooth and positive candidate journey.

This role is both strategic and hands-on - you’ll enhance scalable hiring processes and also roll up your sleeves to source candidates, manage pipelines, and guide them through to offer acceptance. A successful person in this role will help us move from reactive hiring to a proactive, predictable, and delightful recruiting engine.

Responsibilities
  • Full-Cycle Recruiting: Own and manage hiring processes end-to-end, from job scoping and posting to sourcing, interviewing, and closing candidates.
  • Sourcing & Outreach: Build strong pipelines through proactive outreach, creative sourcing strategies, and nurturing relationships with passive candidates.
  • Candidate Experience: Ensure every candidate has a positive and professional experience that reflects Digitail’s culture and values.
  • Hiring Manager Partnership: Work closely with hiring managers to define role requirements, align on processes, and make smart, data-driven hiring decisions.
  • Process & Systems: Improve and scale recruiting workflows, documentation, and tools (ATS, sourcing platforms, referrals, etc.) to ensure efficiency and consistency.
  • Employer Branding: Collaborate with marketing and leadership to amplify Digitail’s employer brand, highlighting our mission, values, and team culture.
About You
  • 2–4 years of recruiting experience: you’ve worked in-house or at an agency, ideally hiring for startups or SaaS companies.
  • Strong communicator: you’re confident in writing compelling outreach messages, leading interviews, and aligning with leadership on hiring priorities.
  • Relationship-builder: you connect easily with candidates and hiring managers, building trust quickly through transparency and consistency.
  • Organized & detail-oriented: you can manage multiple postings at once, keep pipelines moving, and ensure candidates don’t slip through the cracks.
  • Tool experience: you’re comfortable with ATS platforms and sourcing tools - and can learn new systems quickly.
  • Problem solver: you know how to get creative when pipelines run dry and how to adapt when hiring needs shift.
  • Ownership mindset: you don’t just run processes - you improve them. You spot bottlenecks, propose fixes, and make them happen.
Why Join Digitail
  • Growth: Join a fast-growing, mission-driven SaaS startup improving the lives of veterinarians and pet parents.
  • Impact: you’ll have the autonomy to take initiative, drive meaningful change, and grow by doing – without layers of bureaucracy slowing you down.
  • Compensation: competitive salary and equity package, flexible to your preferences (i.e., optimize for PTO, salary, or equity).
  • Hybrid Work: we’ve transitioned from fully-remote to a hybrid model, giving team members the chance to collaborate in-person at least three days a week from one of our hubs: Toronto, London, or Iași & Bucharest.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary between $70k–80k, in line with level of experience
  • Stock options in a high-growth, VC-backed Series B SaaS startup!
  • Learning budget of USD $1,000/yr and coaching from industry professionals in our VC network
  • Equipment including a Macbook and a USD $300 workstation stipend
  • Vacation of 20 days per year
