Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as Talent Acquisition Specialist / Recruiter, preferably in heavy equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform full life cycle recruitment in-house within a corporate setting.
  • Strong understanding of ATS, data analysis, and reposting of roles.
  • HRIS and MS Office proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing and outreach to identify potential candidates via job boards, social media and networks.
  • Build and maintain a robust candidate pipeline for current and future roles, especially Heavy Equipment Technicians.
  • Screen resumes and conduct initial interviews to assess qualifications and fit.
  • Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and provide guidance throughout the process.

Liebherr-Canada is looking for a Talent Acquisition specialist, to support the business growth, nationally.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a vital role in our recruitment process ensuring that we attract, select, and hire top-tier talent to help drive our organization forward. The TA will be responsible for the full life cycle of recruitment at Liebherr Canada. An ability to identify, engage, and build relationships with potential candidates will be critical to our success.

Responsibilities
  • Candidate Sourcing and Outreach: Use various proactive sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, and professional networks, to regularly identify potential candidates
  • Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline for current and future hiring needs, with heavy focus on Heavy Equipment Technicians
  • Participate in external career fair and events as identified
  • Screening and Assessment: Review resumes and applications in a timely manor to determine the suitability of candidates against bona fide job requirements
  • Conduct initial in-person/video meetings to assess candidates' qualifications, skills, and culture fit.
  • Coordinate in-person or virtual interviews with hiring managers as requested
  • Collaboration with Hiring Managers: Partner closely and build rapport with department heads and hiring managers to thoroughly understand their staffing needs
  • Provide guidance and support to hiring managers throughout the selection process.
  • Ensure a smooth and efficient interview process, offering insights and administration on candidate assessments.
  • Offer Management: Accurately extend job offers in a timely manor and negotiate compensation packages with selected candidates.
  • Oversee the transition to HR Onboarding specialist, ensuring a seamless transition for new hires
  • Regularly use MySuccess as applicant tracking system (ATS) as a primary recruitment platform
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition.
  • Identify and work on areas for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance the recruitment process
  • Other duties as assigned
Competencies
  • At least 3 years of experience working as a Talent Acquisition Specialist/ Recruiter, preferably on the Heavy Equipment industry.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in full cycle recruitment working in-house in a corporate setting
  • Solid understanding of and demonstrated expertise with ATS's, reposting and data analysis
  • HR Generalist experience considered an asset
  • Discretion with confidential, private and sensitive information and data
  • MS Office, HRIS and ATS software proficiency
