Salary range: $77,520 to $96,900 per year

Primary Focus

The Talent Acquisition Specialist works as part of the Talent Acquisition team to ensure Canada’s Drug Agency has the right people in the right place at the right time. They will build proactive pipelines and recruitment approaches with a lens on talent needs and market trends. This work will be important in enhancing our employer brand and promoting an exceptional candidate experience.

What do the daily responsibilities look like?

On any given day, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will:

  • deliver full-cycle recruitment processes, leveraging their experience to build strategies that address both short-term and long-term hiring needs
  • build and maintain ongoing talent pipelines and impactful networks through social media platforms, diversity and inclusion partners, professional associations, and educational institutions
  • coach hiring managers on effective interviewing and candidate assessment skills
  • negotiate compensation packages with candidates and collaborate with the People and Culture team on onboarding
  • support our inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility (IDEA) initiatives and embed this philosophy and its values into talent acquisition programs
  • track and report on the progress of assigned requisitions
  • collaborate on other People and Culture projects.

Is this the right role for you?

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will likely have:

  • a postsecondary education in human resources or a related field
  • a minimum of 3 years of experience leading the full recruitment life cycle, with an ability to build talent pipelines of top talent and hard-to-fill roles
  • experience working in a fast-paced environment with proven attention to detail
  • experience using a broad range of candidate assessment techniques
  • strong candidate sourcing and social media skills
  • the ability to build and foster trusting relationships, internally and externally
  • the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels
  • the ability to be an innovative team player and out-of-the-box thinker
  • exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
