Using labour market insights, data, and strong stakeholder relationships, you'll help identify and attract people with the mindset, potential, and capabilities needed to thrive at YVR. You'll also play an important role in evolving our recruitment practices, enhancing our employer brand, and creating hiring experiences that reflect our values and culture.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Conducting full‑cycle recruitment including: establishing requirements; building diverse talent pools and future‑ready pipelines; developing sourcing strategies; shortlisting candidates; evaluating candidates for skills, behaviours, learning agility and potential; managing candidates throughout the recruitment cycle; and negotiating offers
  • Partnering with and coaching hiring leaders to make consistent, informed and values‑aligned recruitment and selection decisions that support capability building and workforce readiness
  • Partner with leaders and People Experience colleagues to design and implement talent acquisition strategies that strengthen YVR's employer brand, improve candidate experience, and support current and future workforce needs.
  • Leverage labour market intelligence, recruitment metrics, and workforce trends to provide insights and recommendations that support hiring decisions and future talent planning.
  • Representing the Airport Authority at career fairs, campus, community and industry events to build relationships, expand talent pipelines, and position YVR as an employer of choice for future‑ready talent
  • Participating in HR and corporate‑wide projects that improve process consistency, enable leaders, support internal mobility, and advance YVR’s broader Enabling Talent priorities.
Key qualifications include:
  • Two to five years’ experience in managing full‑cycle recruitment, preferably in a corporate, agency or complex organizational environment, with demonstrated success in building and maintaining talent pools and pipelines, assessing for capability, potential and values alignment, and delivering a strong candidate and hiring leader experience,
  • A bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration or a related field (concentration in Human Resource Management is a plus); or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Recruitment experience in a unionized environment is considered an asset
  • Awareness of the current labour market and demonstrated ability to use data, insights and stakeholder input to develop recruitment strategies that support business requirements, workforce readiness and future capability needs
  • General knowledge of Canada Labour Code and regulations that impact federally regulated entities
  • Proven ability to build trusted partnerships, influence hiring leaders, and work collaboratively with subject matter experts at different levels to support consistent, fair and outcome‑focused hiring decisions
  • Proficient with MS Office and comfortable with spreadsheets/data analysis, ATS (experience with Taleo TBE preferred) and HRIS (preferably Success Factors)

Although not required, French language skills are an asset as we are committed to providing bilingual services to our visitors and passengers. Candidates who do not speak French are still strongly encouraged to apply.

What Success Looks Like:
  • Build strong partnerships with leaders across the organization and become a trusted advisor on talent acquisition matters.
  • Create exceptional candidate experiences that strengthen YVR's reputation as an employer of choice.
  • Develop diverse talent pipelines that support current hiring needs and future workforce priorities.
  • Use labour market insights and recruitment data to inform

This role offers flexibility while supporting meaningful in‑person collaboration. The successful candidate will spend the majority of their time on site, building relationships with leaders, employees, and candidates across the organization.

This position is open to both Vancouver Airport Authority employees and external applicants. Previous job performance will be taken into consideration for all internal candidates that apply for this position.

As part of our recruitment process, short‑listed candidates may be required to participate in an assessment process.
