Overview

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist in the Talent, Culture & Leadership team at Pomerleau Construction, you will play a pivotal role in the future success of the business through your recruitment expertise. You will recruit a variety of roles to support large-scale building and infrastructure projects, ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion, and you will own the candidate and hiring manager experience from start to finish.

Responsibilities
  • Own the full recruitment process from intake to offer signatures, strategically sourcing, interviewing and providing feedback to client groups.
  • Get creative with sourcing techniques, tapping into the best resources for the requisition at hand.
  • Take full ownership of the candidate experience, acting as a brand ambassador and developing creative ways to showcase initiatives of becoming a top employer of choice.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through the experiences and guidance you provide to client groups.
  • Think one step ahead by connecting with passive candidates and building strategic talent pipelines for upcoming project work.
  • Assist with new hire integrations, supporting onboarding and providing additional assistance where needed.
  • Network in local communities to support employer branding and create memorable first impressions.
  • Act as the strategic support and subject matter expert for client groups, providing coaching and thought leadership on recruitment best practices, interviewing techniques and candidate experience.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Talent Acquisition, preferably in the construction or high-tech industry; strong knowledge of recruitment metrics and a proven track record.
  • A knack for building exceptional relationships with internal and external stakeholders and client groups.
  • Extensive sourcing experience (Boolean and X-ray search) using tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Experience working in and maintaining an updated talent pipeline in an Applicant Tracking System.
