Job Overview

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will manage the recruitment strategy for each search by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to attract qualified candidates within business parameters and budget, using various mediums to meet business objectives and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop a recruitment strategy for each search, including sourcing, selection criteria, recruitment tools, procedures, and onboarding programs.
  2. Manage the end-to-end recruitment process to fill roles promptly within budget and expand the talent pool for future growth.
  3. Conduct interviews, background checks, create offers, negotiate terms, and coordinate onboarding communication with candidates and hiring managers.
  4. Manage recruitment software and tools (e.g., LinkedIn, Indeed, other job boards). Build a talent pool and leverage these tools for branding and talent attraction.
  5. Evaluate recruitment practices for compliance with professional standards and legislation, recommending improvements as needed.
  6. Maintain contact with line managers to stay updated on workforce needs.
  7. Provide training and support to HR and hiring managers on recruitment practices.
  8. Perform administrative duties such as maintaining vacancy trackers, creating reports, and dashboards to improve recruitment activities.
Qualifications & Experience
  1. Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  2. At least 3 years of full-cycle recruitment experience, especially in plant operations or hourly positions, including fast-paced environments.
  3. Experience recruiting technical roles in Skilled Trades and Engineering is a strong asset.
  4. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  5. Strong business acumen and leadership skills to drive high performance.
  6. Interpersonal and influencing skills, results-oriented, collaborative, proactive, and relationship-focused.
  7. Innovative thinker, familiar with current recruiting tools, trends, and technology.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ATS like Ceridian-Dayforce, and sourcing platforms like LinkedIn and Indeed.
  9. Ability to generate and analyze reports using Excel and other tools.
