Job summary

SLR Consulting (Americas) is seeking a skilled Talent Acquisition partner to provide full‑cycle recruitment support to teams across Canada, advising hiring managers on offers and negotiations. You will attract quality talent and drive a robust hiring pipeline.

Reporting to the Americas Talent Acquisition Manager, you will source candidates, benchmark salaries, and support HRIS initiatives while collaborating with global TA colleagues.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience.
• 2+ years recruiting in the environmental services/engineering/mining sectors.
• Experience recruiting across Canada and the United States.
• Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools.
• Experience with Workday is an asset.
• Spanish language skills are a significant asset.

• Partner with business and hiring managers as a trusted advisor.
• Provide full-cycle recruitment services across multiple service lines.
• Source candidates via networks and platforms to fit roles and values.
• Assist with offer negotiations and compensation advice.
• Stay updated on Canadian employment legislation and benchmarking.

Job description

We are SLR Consulting (Americas), a 1500+ team of advisory, environmental, engineering, and regulatory professionals across Canada, the United States, and LATAM. We deliver environmental and sustainability services to our clients through the integration of over 30 advisory, technical environmental, and engineering disciplines to help clients address some of their most complex challenges around sustainability. We are Making Sustainability Happen. What you’ll be doing Reporting to the Americas Talent Acquisition Manager, you will be a key strategic advisor to your hiring teams as they work towards their growth goals. You will provide full-cycle recruitment support to teams across Canada, and provide consultative advice to hiring managers on advertising, selection, interviews, offers, and negotiation. Your ability to build strong working relationships with leaders and hiring managers will be critical to your success, as will your ability to attract and source high-quality talent through a variety of platforms. Strong communication abilities, a high level of responsiveness, and a client‑centric mindset are all key qualities that will help you succeed in this role.

Key Accountabilities

• Partner with the business and become a trusted advisor to hiring managers
• Provide recruitment services across multiple service lines and technical disciplines
• Utilizing various networks and online platforms to engage and secure candidates that fit the role requirements and values of SLR
• Assist with offer negotiations and provide compensation advice
• Keep up to date with employment legislation relevant to recruitment across Canada
• Assist with salary benchmarking and identifying/reporting market trends
• Assist with talent sourcing strategies and plans to increase the pipeline of talent for future business growth
• Support projects and process improvements, working with global Talent Acquisition team
• Assist with implementation of new HRIS system (Workday)

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience
• 2+ years recruiting in the environmental services/engineering/mining industries
• An understanding of the national recruitment landscape, and experience recruiting across Canada and the US
• Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and other tools to source and attract passive candidates
• Experience with Workday is an asset
• Proficiency in Spanish is a significant asset

• The salary range for this position is $75,000-$95,000. Final agreed upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location.
